Against Fear
Dressed and padded for pain at the beginning.
In the moment it's like swimming.
After the strain it's incredible.
A natural high we all long for.
Noticed work paid off.
Necessary recognition breaching popular fame.
Everybody heard it.
Now they can see it.
Nobody can fake to be tough here.
Warriors at the sun's crash into the night.
Later we can be lovers to our women deep into the night.
Waking in the morning with victories by our sides.
This is a brief reenactment of how the real men of the past played life.

You have a remarkable use of language in your poem, like "Nobody can fake to be tough here." The only term I dislike is "real men." It's used too often and is too oppositional to women.
