To assure that they are still
They betray
Your anxious longings
With their rubbing
and tapping
Keep your tone light
nonchalant and easy
to assure that you dont croon
giving it all away
with a too flirtatious laugh
Calm
Deepen your breath
Keep your eyes open
steady on his
Too many blinks...ahhh no....
No...dont hide
Steady.....
Thats it....
Now I'm in control

Then the slow
So painfully slow...
creeping smile
Alights his face
That knowing smile
There goes my crooked grin

i haven't ever seen these feelings described in such a charming way! that's adorable and i felt it all over again.
i'd personally change "anxious longings" to "longing", and the "assure that"s to just "to assure" but that's about it. i want this on my reading list. [:

I remember seeing these exact thought/feelings running across my wife's face when we started dating. It was so flattering to have that affect on her and now with your words you've made me feel the effect from the other side. Well done.
