Image for the poem THE SHIRT

THE SHIRT

(Inspired partly by Rain1Courtel's poem of August, "Slightly Nude".)

Waist-length shirt above naked legs –
All other clothes can stay on pegs –
To give Legs Man plenty to see
While JUST protecting modesty.
The sight of these legs turns him on;
Each other they’ll soon jump upon,
Then he’ll see – know – what’s underneath,
Where Eve would have worn her fig leaf.
It makes such a seductive flirt,
Teasing his eyes in such a shirt.
It’s most delectably divine;
“The body’s yours, the shirt is mine”.
A symbol of the love they share
When worn upon her body bare.
