Reincarnation Ambrosia (_shadoe_ and runningturtle87)

Life after life
each resolution becomes
a revolution on the wheel
as karma and dharma dance
the supreme awakening.

Childhood and sunset
love and death
the consciousness of being
arises and darkens
with an eternal kiss.

This is our beginning
and with it
all things
will become shadows;
the narrative of love
is the story of how the soul
awakens to itself,
and tender flesh awakens
to the harsh touch
of the meandering moon.

By the ever-moving-moon,
I would keep you here
hearing all
you divulge to my curiosity
my nature demanding confession
until we are both drunk
and sated with knowledge
philosophy holding my attention
as I beg you
to teach me the secrets
of the stars
and mountains
and rivers
and the breeze
teach my nature to me
as only you see it.

I would take your hand
reading the narrative of humanity
in the runes of your creases
touch the soles of your feet
and cradle civilization
with your head in my lap;
each new day has hidden
the dark passions
of the previous night
and each new night
unveils the hidden shyness
of our naked travails
as we wistfully coil
along the ribboned banks
that cause the snakey rivers
to shake their shores
and recreate
with newly minted instructions
the directions of the flow
of all of life
one grain of sand
at a time,
as each kiss
reminds and obliterates
the lost memories
of our past and passing lives.

I would follow you
barefoot across the warm dunes
that fill our hour glass;
finding those memories
we'll treasure
when fate separates us
once more and inevitably
cupped hands saving the precious grains
overflowing
until the wind scatters
the sands of our time together
to be chased across decades
until paths might cross
where I might hold you
to my breast and whisper
new questions
for you to foretell
the history of the earth
where the moon sleeps
where the leaves blow
where the river begins
and where and how and why
I find myself with you
again.
