Hidden But We Are One

We're hidden in plain sight, behind a transparent curtain
They'd see us in the dim light if they looked closer, that's certain
The sun falls on our face, despite the clouds that are they
You look so happy in the shining sunlight, my love
Smiling down at me lovingly... Arms wrapped tightly around
It's easy to forget when I'm with you for a few fulfilling hours
Becoming as one when they'd rather us be far apart
Falling deeper in love when they'd rather pull us back up
But I'm descending farther down... Sinking into our "sin"
I see nothing wrong here, do you? All in all I think we win
We're young, we're stupid, and we're recklessly bound
It's funny how our forbidden love has yet to be found
