Tyra Blackthorne

She enclosed her dreams
wrapped them within weary tears.
Hiding from her reality
and the demons sharp claws.

She hid her craquelure face
and rain kissed eyes
from the visions of
the ungodly world.

As velvet petals
her wings fall
like a blackened curse
eternal from the heavens.

Her serenity and
her dreams vanishing
exiled far from
the divine light.

She held a black rose
thorns piercing her palms
revealing passing memories
of a beautiful faded land.

Her mate, her lover
adopted from darkness
shielded her body frail
from murderous death.

This, the only place
she has found peace
cradled within his ensanguined arms
and the tenuous sacristy within.
