Illusions
The first time I thought I was safe
was when I was wrapped in your arms
that dream was shattered
and in horrified conclusion
I realized I was wrong
I destroyed all these illusions
when I laid my fist to the mirror
glass sprayed, echoing in the empty halls
I fell and clenched my bleeding fist sobbing,
"Love is evil, love is evil!"
Pushed out of the safety of your flames
this endless winter is filled with grey
the world inside these walls grow lifeless
as the lies I lived are torn away
I destroyed all these illusions
when I laid my fist to the mirror
glass sprayed, echoing in the empty halls
I fell and clenched my bleeding fist sobbing,
"Love is evil, love is evil!"
I destroyed all these illusions
staring down at my reflection
through a blood splattered shard of glass
and as I closed my eyes, my heart at last whispered,
"Love is evil, love is evil.."
was when I was wrapped in your arms
that dream was shattered
and in horrified conclusion
I realized I was wrong
I destroyed all these illusions
when I laid my fist to the mirror
glass sprayed, echoing in the empty halls
I fell and clenched my bleeding fist sobbing,
"Love is evil, love is evil!"
Pushed out of the safety of your flames
this endless winter is filled with grey
the world inside these walls grow lifeless
as the lies I lived are torn away
I destroyed all these illusions
when I laid my fist to the mirror
glass sprayed, echoing in the empty halls
I fell and clenched my bleeding fist sobbing,
"Love is evil, love is evil!"
I destroyed all these illusions
staring down at my reflection
through a blood splattered shard of glass
and as I closed my eyes, my heart at last whispered,
"Love is evil, love is evil.."
