Flowers in the Rain

Once cherished and beautiful
Nourished with love and hope
Vibrant colors that once were
They exist only in the memory
Death came stealing their colors
Stealing their existence
Drops of purity dancing, bouncing off their wilted petals
Hopes of breathing the breath of life again
Shattered hope by the wind
Tossing the life serum aside; away
Each single petal reaching desperately
Searching for a tiny taste; just enough to begin again
Unsuccessfully
I toss this new bouquet down
To let Mother Nature exact my revenge
These flowers shall die in the rain
My cherished and beautiful, vibrant Babe
Death came to steal her colors
He stole her existence
Wilting my petals
Mother Nature angry, pours out her rage
Swiftly blowing her angry breath casting the drops of life back again
My anger is not avenged but backlashed
Those drops of rain came too hard
Breaking each petal one by one
And I begin wilt
Melting; merging with Mother Nature
To grow as a flower in the rain
Next to her grave
So she’ll always have flowers by her side
I’ll be her flowers in the rain
