Divine Driving

Driving...
With sunlight
filtering through my sunroof

Windows down...
Both sides...

Wind teasing me....
Sade playing on my radio

with nothing but highway
in front of me...

Hills and trees on either
side of me...
Clouds...rolling by
Fluffy & white...

Filtering... the Sunlight
Filtering ...away my angst
Filtering away...my troubles

Driving...
As Sade Asks her Lover
IS It A Crime...

I lay my head back as the breeze
Lull's me into serenity
Making my heart grateful
Making my spirit smile

As I drive for miles & miles...
I realize
My spirit hasn't smiled
In a while

My mind drifts..
As Sade Calls The Morning Bird

I realize that my struggles
have become the Blood & Bone of me
As one lone tear

Escapes the landscape of my face
I am not sad...
I am not broken

I am just beginning to unfold
Like this road before me

As the Sun melts my wounds away
leaving only a dull thud
where once gashes that oozed
My life's blood stood

Now... I am healing
Now... I can move forward
Feeling like I can finally
Put the pieces back  together again

Teaching myself
How to breath again
Right here

While Driving
