Strange Noises

LOL...that was funny! Good write Kitty...may I suggest the following though for more impact:

I was startled today by the strangest of noises
An uncivil growl and a yowling of voices
I thought there was a wild cat fight outside
I looked out my window, no feline in sight
Peered out my back door, peaceful as could be
Shrugging, I turned away to read my book
I heard the noises again, so I had another look
After a few more moments of bewilderment

I stopped.

still... and listen with attentiveness
It was then I felt the roaring in my stomach -
An angry demon lion in great contempt

this was so much fun to read lol you really know how to draw a reader in leaving nothing but curiosity making you want to read more well done...
