Do You Remember Me

    


The sky is black
I stand on the track
the deceased day
is due to come back
the weeds they sway
together in packs
as the breeze it says
what , my speech does lack .


Out of all the
distance around , that is audible
the dead of night , far sounds
become plausible
all the years
gone by
pass right through me
a tear does appear
in each eye
from old memories
decades grew wings
and did fly
do you remember me .



So I start to move
on along
I'm on my way
but can't be done
as all the new
becomes bygone
it buries you
but you're not
forgotten
I take olden routes
like the moon and sun
we'll always be
'cause we've been
before
I've travelled paths
for far too long
but I'll find my
love past
from days  
gone .
