ABCs versus 123s
Both in their vast plains of knowledge
Hold attainable wonders to be learned
One or the other comes so much easier
Where individual scholars are concerned
I am no genius or prodigy, no never would I claim
Grasping the concept of words and their flow
Comes so much more naturally and easier to me
However there's mathematics and sciences I ought to know
Numbers test my limits of intelligence in daily toil
At times I feel lost and utterly confused
Forgive my apparent laziness or bad attitude
It's just so difficult to be inspired or enthused
Words speak to me, and I to them in passion
But numbers and equations I hold to distain
Finding solutions to random problems which
Have no real value to which I hold...
... Other than a report card grade to gain
I plan no field in architecture or chemistry,
Nor accounting or physics or astronomer
My heart's content is in significantly more depth
In the dream of being a singer or author

Not a bad testimony.
Nowadays I also feel more drawn to literature then math.
Though it used to one day be the opposite.
I know it is a widespread believe your either good at one or the other.
So in that regard this is a good testimony of how that must feel to a poet.
