Alice's Allegory
Alice had an allegory
Of if uffish fishes fathomings
Exceeds a further furling feel
We dub dimensions one two three.
For she and they could quite conceive
Surrounding space in x, y, z
As spatial planes we plainly seen,
But suppose of those internally?
She however had her answer though,
For prior to her proposition,
Positing had proved perception.
So though her sea friends could explore
Every space inside an orb,
They failed to think of deeper thoughts
Such as above, then so below,
And as within, then so without.
Of if uffish fishes fathomings
Exceeds a further furling feel
We dub dimensions one two three.
For she and they could quite conceive
Surrounding space in x, y, z
As spatial planes we plainly seen,
But suppose of those internally?
She however had her answer though,
For prior to her proposition,
Positing had proved perception.
So though her sea friends could explore
Every space inside an orb,
They failed to think of deeper thoughts
Such as above, then so below,
And as within, then so without.
