with pick and axe

with pick and axe

misshapen tears of a mother stolen
by the very son cursed with her hue.
his merciless penetration of her is labored.
fleeting satisfaction birthed in another bastard.

her muted screams
echoed by her daughter come dawn.
he covers the mouth of this resigned quarry
because as a thief
he must kidnap what he wants of her.
nothing is ever given.
grunts doused by sorghum choking his cerebellum.

crimson umbilical chord cut
severing any traces of worth.
chiseled tears help define the soulless
and are worn as sentinels of deliverance.
the priced paid for the adornment
same as in the mines.
he lays pick and axe to her at will.
