LIKE A BOOK
(Inspired by the bookish metaphors in Tommie Lynn's 'Lasting Love'.)
When and where others do not look,
My husband reads me like a book.
His fingers exploringly trail
As if I am written in Braille.
His genetic information
Is writ deep in copulation.
When next morning we disengage,
The night before is a turned page.
When and where others do not look,
My husband reads me like a book.
His fingers exploringly trail
As if I am written in Braille.
His genetic information
Is writ deep in copulation.
When next morning we disengage,
The night before is a turned page.
