DANCE WITH THE DEVIL
entered in the Halloween Comes to life comp
I wish I may, I wish I might
Be spellbound as the devil tonight.
Crimson skin with a barbed tail
All bow before me, The Lord of Hell.
Grasping my pitchfork
Pull free the cork,
Will it even work?
I would just slay, I would spin rites
Of my fellow demons for nightly sacrifice.
Become a victim of the spell,
Shaping me into The Lord of Hell.
Red rimmed eyeballs
Stating from the walls,
Why do you stall?
Deep into the night
Demons in the light
Painful splendors reveled when
You dance with the devil.
Strike me from the skies
When I tell you lies tonight.
She wish to lay with me tonight
An unholy angel stricken from the light.
So vile with brimstone smell,
Sulfur in my veins, The Lord of Hell.
Lighted by the flames,
Lavished in the fame,
Time to play a game.
Flickering flames, the only light
Necromancers party with delight.
Corpses waiting for the tale,
Of the rising of The Lord of Hell.
Cold skin, it lingers
Caressing undead fingers
Homage to the stranger.
Deep into the night
Demons in the light
Painful splendors reveled when
You dance with the devil.
Strike me from the skies
When I tell you lies tonight.
By the fire,
We all dance
Naked with the sires,
Necromance.
The moon shows us
The right way
Through mounds of dead and pus,
Kiss the slain.
And still she stays in green light
Putrid shadows dance upon the sight
Of pentagrams, crucifixion nails
All bow before The Lord of Hell.
Forked tongue licking
The blood that is sticking
A treat or a tricking.
Deep into the night
Demons in the light

Great rhythmic flow, that cascaded down the page. Allot of depth in your use of metaphors. A good poem.
