Forbidden Love

A simple question it was:
Do you mind if I kiss you?
Yes I do mind - was the answer.

Her red flavoured lips beckoned to be caressed...
Too bad, I'm gonna kiss you anyway,
Kiss you like you have never been kissed before  - he asserted,

She stood forever still,
Anticipating what was never meant to be.

As he approached ever so slowly,
Their breaths were drawn,
Love never felt so simple,
Life never felt so complicated.

When their lips touched,
The softest kiss it came to be,
The passion in her lips so unexpected,
The tenderness of his lips so expected.

They did not move,
For fear the bond sealing them would dissolve,
And all would be lost.

Time stopped.

Their joined lips quivered ever so gently,
It was not the end,
For their hearts wanted more.

The kiss continued...
Lost within her he became,
As his eyes closed,
Darkness befell him,
He no longer was.

The kiss continued...
Found within him she was,
As her eyes opened,
Light illuminated her,
She was all there was.

As they slowly awakened into life,
And began to breathe the air of love...

She pulled back.
Disbelief reined in her eyes.
What had just happened?

This was never, never, never, suppose to happen,
Was her only thought.

He stepped closer,
His mind now convinced,
His heart was not wrong,
What was meant to be...

Now is.

At that very moment,
A man and a woman had found,
Not what was missing,
But what they never had, and never wanted...

Forbidden Love.
