The Willow Tree Path
Cigarettes, needles, pills, and guns;
my oh my, what lovely fun.
I sit here consumed in complete despair,
as I breathe in this toxic air.
My life crashes before my eyes,
every breathing second is another lie.
Why God why, do I endure this pain?
Why God why, is it all in vain?
Dark clouds hover and I’m lost for words,
willow tree path leads me, oh it hurts.
Walking blindly into the abyss,
why God, does it have to be like this?
Constantly feeling like a leper or anti-christ.
Let me talk to God, does this all suffice?
Is this what my destiny was meant to be?
Dark, pained, and scarred….that’s just me.
These are the questions I ask when I look in the mirror,
God, will you bring death nearer?
End this pitiful thing that I call a life.
Please God, will you end it all tonight?
