Open my eyes again
Hovering over truth
Been this way since youth
Tired of grasping at flames
Ready to be fully on fire
This is my desire
To quench my thirst
with living water
Not treading the surface
I've seen through this ground
I've been on higher levels
In different dimensions
Further up, not standing still
I'll wait if I must
But I am ready to bust
out of this rut
Everything in my gut
is screaming somethings
not quite right
Did I make a wrong turn?
I long for my spirit to burn
With your fire
Ignite the flames again
Set it down in my soul
with flaming hot coals
For I will never turn away
No matter the price
I pay
I know your the way
Only through the ray
of your light can I see
Forever unfolding your mystery

I am just simply a believer non-denominational. I actually attend a christian church full of Latin Americans (No, I am not Latin but my husband is) SO, it is a bi-lingual church as well. I am one of only 3 people that speak English though. I was the first English speaking member for a long time. (But many of them are bi-lingual, I am slowly learning Spanish) I absolutely love worship music in Spanish, Seriously beautiful! Thank you for the suggestion on a retreat. I know it comes down to obedience with me. My hardheaded free spirit is hard to tame at times. But the truth is after writing this I felt a renewal in my soul. Because in writing this I was obeying. I guess that's the work of the Spirit. Also my youngest Son woke up with high fever last night which got me praying in true faith again, also the Spirit I suppose. Thank you again Theo!

Beautiful and heart felt. I can relate to this well. I find it amazing how God and all His power is always there for us even if we are feeling distant or stagnant.
