"Laying it to Rest, for a Moment."

"because man goeth to his long home,
and the mourners go about the streets:
Or ever the silver cord be loosed,
or the golden bowl be broken, or the
pitcher be broken at the fountain, or
the wheel broken at the cistern.
Then shall the dust return to the
earth as it was: and the spirit shall
return unto God who gave it.
Vanity of vanities, saith the
preacher; all is vanity."
And further, by these, my son, be
admonished: of making many books there
is no end; and much study is a
weariness of the flesh."

         ^^^Excerpts from Ecclesiastes^^^

Now the Devil knows where I lie,
because he crept in somewheres and into
my ear did whisper a subtle lie
And led me astray with comforting
words that I'll probably find-out sooner
or later to have been belied

Because sometimes I think that the Gods
that we worship and demons we blame are
one and the same
They just have different names and
are either feared or given acclaim

But I think that my silver cord has been
broken or probably severed so that I can
no longer receive my fair messages from
Heaven
Because lately I seem to be finding more
dust than spirit and am feeling less and
less like a Faithful adherent

And though I grope at and reach-out for
the rope that leads to forever, I seem
to be figuring-out that it's all vanity
of vanities; all is vanity
And I have probably ascertained enough
hidden knowledge to open my own wing at
the community college

But as the wise man once said, "To much
studying is a weariness of the flesh," so
I think that I'm going to try and use
my head for something other than profound
thinking and give it a rest
And then maybe when I reach my anticipated
long home, I'll know even as I am known

And become One with the Eternal Unknown
