"We are to give our Lives to our Partners and put them First," (But this is Reciprocated.)"

 Ephesians 5:25 "Husbands,
love your wives, even as
Christ also loved the church,
and gave himself for it;

I read this and then began
to apply it to our lives
I began to put everything
that she needed in front
of my wants, allowing
myself to be not ahead of
her but behind

I lived my life as though
I was laying down my life
for her so that she could
live
When she needed to talk
I would not interrupt but
listen until she had ended

When she said that she was
not in the mood I would
find some other way to be
intimate with her, like
brushing her hair or giving
her a bath or making her,
her favorite kind of coffee in the
middle of the night when she
could not sleep and listening
to her talk-out her discomforts
or I would make her laugh
which took us to a higher-
level together

As she is the soul-mate of
my body and my partner and
not subservient to me, it is
my responsibility to make sure
she is put first and taken care
of before any of my personal
needs
And as I live this way I find that
selfishness within me fades and
gentle giving takes its place
And no fret of her stepping-out
as it is replaced with a Love that
casts-out all doubt

But this denying of myself to
take care of her is not unrequited
but is returned unto me 100 fold
Because as I give unto her in
return she gives unto me so I find
that this emptying of myself is
guaranteed to have an immediate
yield of tending to all of the needs
that I feel

My emotions are daily refilled: my
Love is given back unto me so that
I am not insecure or doubting and
my Passion that I have for her is
overflowing as she takes care of all
my desires without me even asking
In the soul we are connected on a
spiritual level and have become one
with each other without measure

I can look into her eyes and read
her heart within and know what she
has need of before she even asks
the question
And she can lay beside me and feel
the emotion that flows from me and
know what to do for me if I need
something

We are to know and care for each
other even as Christ Loved the
Church and laid-down His Life for
it so that it would be Glorious
