Letter to Myself

This is a letter to myself,  
not written for anyone else.  
You are pretty, you are kind,  
a catch, some would say a dime.  
Nobody can deny you  
if you smile big enough  
and if someone hurts you  
it's a good thing you're tough.  
so try not to worry  
if you can't stop the tears  
it's just the way that your heart  
starts to make it's own repairs.  
 
Everything is going to be all right.  
so don't you worry your head about it  
I think maybe that George was right  
so keep your head up and sit tight  
cause the sun is coming and it's all right.  
 
Keep in mind what you deserve  
keep your pride even when you hurt.  
Don't let them know how deep it went  
or how the time since has been spent  
if they couldn't see it  
then why should you care?  
don't waste time on people
who just don't want to be there.
