Blue Horizons Bleed Red Mist

Wish I could fly my way to Mars
Escape the gravity of reality
And the hopeless blue of skies and seas
Pushing down and drowning me
The heavens glow with points of light
Calling minds too weak to learn
The stars that shower down hold no magic
To make wishes on or guide lost souls
To secret destinations on distant worlds
Where tears are recycled to quench the thirst
Of lips that long for a kiss to wet them instead
For the salty taste of one’s own tears
Inspires the craving for more tears to fall
And who am I to reject the truth I can’t deny
That like the stars spread across the endless sky
 Loneliness is my infinite destiny?
