Yellow hope

As a child i always pictured hope to be yellow        
       
hopeless is sight of        
       
eyes that never sink in its beauty        
       
for glowworms and my heart go          
       
hand-in-hand        
       
that marries night and        
         
gets widowed by day        
       
throw me a storm that once was        
            wind over your daisies      
       
i bet smoke was once sun's whore        
       
cradled by blinding blue flames 
rising hazy from my cigarette      
for      
       
Sometimes hope is the loneliest word        
       
...a battling bastard between      
       
              red and purple...
