Snowbound
In distant vistas, snowfall carpets the land
Spreading the chill of winter through every man.
The fear of the dark slowly sets in
Waiting for desolation to begin.
Can you endure?
Are you so sure?
Soon the bitter cold will creep into your bones
No where is safe, not even your home.
No heat from the flames
Biting away the sane.
Is it all in your head?
Are you already dead?
What would you do for another day?
What would you do, what would you say?
In a home with a jagged skyline
What would do with the time?
No one about
For you to shout.
If there were, would you use their skin
To maybe stave off the cold again?
Feast on their flesh for fat
Nibble away like a rat.
Is it all in your head?
Are you already dead?
