"The Reality of the 23rd Psalm," (It is a Living Testimony).

1 "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

I think that we all know this passage of
Scriptures very well, one of the most famous
and most beloved anyone could ever tell.

Read in times that need comforting or at the
graveside when bidding a loved one or good
friend farewell till you see them again

But these stanzas go beyond mere comforting
words and are the life-experience that
someone thru personal involvement has learned

They were with a confident heart saying, "Lord,
you are my Shepherd," because they at some point
had been guided by His gentle hand and led safely
thru the land and knew what the meaning of the
title, "Lord," was because He had given them
their daily bread to restore their soul

He led them into pastures, (spiritual places),
that were green and ripe so that their spirits
could be filled, not with loneliness or despair
Nor with emptiness or weeping or sorrow, but
with joy and fulfillment and peace of mind and
heart so that they were sustained in this life

The writer knew that this world that we live in
is a valley of death because when we look around
it is everywhere and always in the thoughts of
mans head
But he had a consolation from the rod, (the words
of the Lords' mouth), and His staff, (the support
that He leaned on), knowing that death is just a
part of our existence that will not have the last
say or laugh

He has also set a table before us with all kinds
of satisfying things to eat
Not hate or jealousy nor bitterness or fear
Neither envy or spite nor bitterness or lies or
fear of murder or wrath or selfishness which doesn't
bring forth anything good, but bad
And this table will satisfy our soul
Every man can see that it's being eaten from and if
they choose to can, "Come and Dine," also so that
they are made full

His Presence in our life is like an oil that anoints
our head, raising the appearance of our demeanor and
surrounding it with a Blessed Light that can be seen
shining from and radiating letting others know that
we have been strengthened by the heart of the Healer

And all of these things together causes our cups to
run over so that we are filled with all things good
and have no need for anything because He has fully
supplied us, to the hilt
And what we have can be clearly seen running-out so
that others from us can also eat of this Life into
their souls and be made whole

And He has given us the Promise that we can live in
this house forever, never being kicked-out, so that
we can enjoy its ever regenerating and never dying
treasures

Psalms 45:1

"My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of
the things which I have made touching the king:
my tongue is the pen of a ready writer."
