Burning of the Soul
I lept from my seat in the hopes you would notice me.
In the hopes I would drown in your sea of dreams, freeing me.
Being weighed down by a heart full of balled fist and tied tongues, I danced with myself, as I fell like sediments of the soul.
I just want to be whole again. But life is a puzzle that is always broken.
Pieces disappear, some are purposely hidden, others just never make sense.
So most of us just lie there swimming in our memories.
Feeling the loneliness of our hearts as our thoughts consume us with appetites that will never be filled.
I was once told I would find you again. That you were waiting for me with with a lesson to be taught.
That are souls would meet, hidden in between a place where the darkness and the day are joined.
You would nourish my soul with the flame that flickered in you like a thousand suns and I would be whole again.
I would be free again.
