If I Can Share Your Spirit
There are cliffs whose drop is to deep,
But there is always a rope,
Willing to reach down for me.
There are wings,
Willing to give me flight.
Another persons spirit
Stirring mine to fight.
He is my anchor to reality,
My boat away from death.
The sea is vast and large,
Deep and wonderfully numb.
Yet he will not fall from under me.
What reminds me that I must live?
Every thought on earth.
But who will care if the weights to much?
A single ear to hear,
And burden with me the sky.
If I can share, for a moment your spirit.
The seas can be conquered,
The skies will blow and I won't bow,
The cliff can go farther down,
And you'll always be there to catch me.
Until I can catch myself.
But there is always a rope,
Willing to reach down for me.
There are wings,
Willing to give me flight.
Another persons spirit
Stirring mine to fight.
He is my anchor to reality,
My boat away from death.
The sea is vast and large,
Deep and wonderfully numb.
Yet he will not fall from under me.
What reminds me that I must live?
Every thought on earth.
But who will care if the weights to much?
A single ear to hear,
And burden with me the sky.
If I can share, for a moment your spirit.
The seas can be conquered,
The skies will blow and I won't bow,
The cliff can go farther down,
And you'll always be there to catch me.
Until I can catch myself.
