Indescribable

Uncontrollable smile across my lips
So happy and big it can't be missed
Complimented in absolutely the best way
And I hardly know what to say
I tried about as hard as I could
To try and formulate something good
But all I've got are crazy feelings
When appreciation is what I want to be revealing!
Usually words don't leave me far
And finding the right ones aren't too hard
But tonight something strange has happened
Because I just can't seem to grab them
At this moment nothing matters
More than how deeply I've been flattered
But all my thoughts just scatter
As emotions leave me shattered
Consumed by my overwhelmed state
Not sure if words properly conveyed
All the things I wanted you to know
But with all my heart I sure hope so!
Because I'm fighting tears of disbelief
Wanting to cry for the happiness I've received
And I thank you for giving this feeling to me
You'll never know how much it means
This gift to my soul I do treasure
It touches me in ways only the heart can measure
So rare for me to truly feel that
Someone would give authenticity back
So this is my attempt at expression of this moment
How affected I've been, I hope this lets you know it
Because I want you to see that I felt your warmth on this night
