Image for the poem "Say

"Say'hu," (Motherland).

sin
Noun
An immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law.
verb.   transgress - err - trespass - offend

Oh, "Say'hu,"
Motherland greatly
exploited, for mineral wealth and
your peoples that cherish its vast
heritage

Why do you greatly harm and sin
against those who love you, those
who have been born of you

You are a continent wealthy with
minerals but government and guerilla
factions thru greed covet these
blood diamonds to a fatal attraction
and slaughter and abuse your tribes
who want to live a peaceful life

Your descendants are rich in heritage
and love descending from Cush,
grandson of Noah, going back 6000 years
and then some but you rape and pillage
their lives to epic-proportions

Your land will be redeemed and the curse
of lust and greed lifted as has before
been mentioned and the lamenting and
hatred ended and peace extended

But for now, lives are being rended
