Miranda said silence is optional. Think it goes back to protecting those not-so-innocent from the long arm of the self-appointed.. I don't know about weeding (as I don't rip 'em out of the earth like a petty god) but there are plenty of them to sort through. Yes, that is the machine to my ghost, rather a likeness of it from not too many moons back.
