Casting A Shadow
Tell me…
What have I done to obtain this taint?
Is as if my soul was dipped in paint
So deep in red it seems it’s breathing,
Pulsating with dark forces that are seething.
Is it all the hate that I feel every day?
So red is my sight that I can’t find the way.
Anger bubbles and froths to the top,
I fear my blood pressure will my skull pop.
When light cast over me I give off a shade
As deep crimson as the choices I’ve made.
Is it real or is it all in my head?
But seem to me that my shadow is red.
