"The Wind that Blows through the Trees, is no longer Clean."

I stood among the trees of Babylon
to hear what the Wind spoke of from
among their branches

They were once so strong and Majestic,
tall and provided cover and nourishment
to every other tree in the Garden

But now they are full of rot and diseased,
needing to be burned to cleanse their
impurities

Fruit they once produced that was wholesome
and healthy to consume but now a consumption
is within their boughs and inedible to all fowls

The Ancient Native Americans were wise in the
knowledge that if a fire broke-out you do not
prevent it from taking its course

This would cause further damage and have a
detrimental recourse to the trees of the land,
but instead let it burn through so that the trees
could be purged and once again provide
life-sustaining fruit

How can we sing songs of freedom and plenty in
a land that has become bound and empty
Far from an Eden is she and oppression is the
clothing that now covers we

The fires will come with an overflowing, purging
deluge and burn away the drought in its wake
The trees fill this in their roots and are
beginning to quake

The Winds blow thru them but are no longer cleansed
by their filtration-system as they should so the
oxygen is no longer purified and fit to breath
