The Walk Away Man

Last time the press left him in a mess
Full of stress
Didn't they know he don't want to be called hero
OK so he rescued his buddy; oh goody
But his buddy would have done it for him
In a circumstances just as grim

Back home he saw a fire, situation dire
Young mother and kid
It should have been their funeral pyre
But he ran in they weren't his kin
Different colour skin
So what?
It was deadly hot

It just needed doing that's all
His call
Dragged the pair out of there
Got them free
Set the kid on mother's knee
Simply said 'be lucky, hey'
Then he turned and walked away
Now the media want to know
Who was this Joe?

They're calling him the Walk Away Man
Ten thousand bucks if you can
Name him
At home he has burns to dress
Stuff the press
He don't need the acclaim don't need to be named
Strangers slapping him on the back
Whilst sick trolls make a cyber attack
Who can blame him?
