In all the years I've known you
I never thought you could speak truth
I watch in constant amazement
And concur with your statement
You are good at it yes
It's your best asset
People eat it up like candy
Because you dress it up so fancy
Your demeanor is sweet
But much too sweet for me
I know a thing or 2 about cavities
How sugar can cause tragedies
Deceiving while it poisons
Masks when it's destroying
It's too bad these people don't know
Or maybe they do and they just won't go
Because they are like-minded in the game of fabrication
Or they just like feeling good and aren't bothered by manipulation
So yes you give good bullshit
Your soul is just full of it
And though they all may like the taste
With me it only goes to waste
I'd never let you put your words in my mouth
Instinctually I spit all of them out
But not in your face they're on the pathway you walk
When you slip and fall on them I'll be there to watch
It's too bad that your victims
Really do think you're innocent
Though honestly I'm quite convinced
That the biggest victim of all is you
Because one day you'll have to wallow in your demise
When you're old and brittle and finally realize
That you've become a person you yourself despise
Trapped in an unfulfilled life of loneliness and lies
And when that regretful part of you finally decides
To wake up and open those made up pretty eyes
No one will be there to hear your shameful cries
Because the truth always comes out from where it hides
And though this admission might not be too wise
I know that sincerity sustains and survives
So I'll be the one to feel most alive
