It's seriously all good
I didn't really think you'd come through
The way you said you would
The notion was pretty sweet I guess
But a part of me knew better
Emotion won't turn to stress

But it doesn't mean I'm not hurt
I just don't allow myself to feel much
I don't see the point of being upset
When you'll never really understand
I try in simple ways to express
But justifications are all you give back
And that's fine I know how it is
I don't need you to explain
I don't even want an apology
Because it won't mean a lot anyway
You can sweet talk most people with words
And make it up with obligated actions
But I'm not really interested in a temporary splurge
It's permanence that brings me true satisfaction
So just go ahead and enjoy your life
As I try to enjoy mine
I'm accepting the separation between you and I
Because it's about time
And I'm not going to be sad
The connection we had was cool
There will always be remnants of the past
But I am no fool
Things are different now, I know
