Excerpt from The Book of Xander Infernus, The Immortal

"By the blood of the raven I will have eternal life
You ask yourself why would I endure existence of strife?
Is it not better than everlasting night?
By the gore of innocents, who cares, wrong or right?

I plan to see centuries spread out before my eyes
Feast in all the world’s splendors, even wrong some rights
Do not live my life, but see many sights
Never live my place in the pits among the flies

Who will deny me?
In Heaven, on sand?
You won’t deny me!
God or man!

Inside pentagrams I have met with devils and ghosts
Ever being the most worthy of hosts
We would raise of glasses and give a mighty toast
And feast upon God’s very lamb of roast

I have grown in power, such ruthlessness and guile
I have slaughtered so many, guilt I no longer feel
Sitting with the gods, it no longer seems real
I am now immortal, pagans now worship my seal

Who will deny me?
In Heaven, on sand?
You won’t deny me!
God or man!”
