Come live together and be in love
Come live together and be in love
And be as two of the same dove
Upon this blue and green earth
Filled with happiness, joy, mirth.
Sit upon the rocks and shores,
Bask in the beauty of outdoors,
Sit under the shades of trees,
Be at peace, together in ease.
Both of you shall have buds for crowns
Verdant vines, sweet flowers for gowns,
Listen to the divine madrigals
Decorating your homely halls.
Live together to watch seasons pass
Watch bloom and die flowers and grass
As the years, decades change
Do not grow apart or strange.
Let your love be one immortal
Though your bodies are mortal
Your spirits will live on
Leave legacies anon.
Dance, work and sing
Each, every morning.

This poem was inspired by 'The Passionate Shepherd to his Love' by Christopher Marlowe, and is one of the many responses to it. This poem being one following the romantic, optimistic view of love.
I see it as being said by a ruler, a fantasy altruistic ruler, telling his/her people to live in love. The leader asks that all be in love, and does not chastise those of same sex, and reminds them that though they are mortal they should enjoy life and love.

absolutely and after a long time I have read such an easy flow poem, so rythmic and romantic.
