Divining the Infernal

Deep down in the ice, I wait
For the one that will set me free
Inside is a hunger I cannot sate
My waters churning the sea

In thoughts of my long exile
Turning under the World Tree
Torments of my cruel trials
Currents frothing as I bleed

I need a Goddess to break my cage
You need a Devil to sate your rage
I need You to make a decision
To free me from my prison

A wicked Chimera of Mother Earth
On your journey from the Underworld
My shadow mistress giving me birth
Rising up in the night, your wings unfurled

You are just as lonely as I
Trapped inside your own lonely place
Eternity spend with rage and sighs
A void filled with lust and grace

In the morning light
The world will speak our frightful names

Hoping the Day will fend off the shadows
By the protection of the light
They will hope with their hearts although
They will still shiver in the night

You are my Goddess that broke my cage
I am your Devil that soothes your rage
You went and made a decision
And freed me from my prison
