Image for the poem Sigh

Sigh

A delicate breeze
my face caressed
toes in the sand
walking along the shore
collecting sea shells
my hurt long gone

feelings swirl
as the sea mist
kisses me gently
in love with the ocean
being a sacred realm

daughter of water
now sprinkled in light
the clouds have parted
darkness shadows me no more

feeling free and alive
I take a deep breath
and sigh in relief
depression behind me
the sea my home
a balm for my soul
