Brake & Enter
I drive the dreaded drive
So long with time to get there
To prepare for the worst
The dead eyes behind the glass
Expressionless faces caught in the glare
The rivers of cars
The warning signs
The flashing lights
The indicators
The graffiti bus stops
The polluted air
The made up buildings
The lack of care
The students
The bus drivers
The guards
The gates
I enter
I park
I lead myself in
Give myself up
My cell invites me in
And time suddenly slows
So long with time to get there
To prepare for the worst
The dead eyes behind the glass
Expressionless faces caught in the glare
The rivers of cars
The warning signs
The flashing lights
The indicators
The graffiti bus stops
The polluted air
The made up buildings
The lack of care
The students
The bus drivers
The guards
The gates
I enter
I park
I lead myself in
Give myself up
My cell invites me in
And time suddenly slows
