Everybody's Victim

"Matt A-- Did you know him?"

"Shannon who? How do you know her?"

"My sister's dating Craig--"

"I know!"

"How?"

They bullied me.
All of them.
Any person that someone use to know
or does know
or we see in a store.
They've bullied me.
All of them.
That's what people do to people like me.
Because I'm different.
I'm quiet.
I write stories.
I read books.
Because I have over active sweat glands.
Because I'm smart.
Because I don't find stupid things funny.
Because I am not carbon copy sheep lining up with rest of you for slaughter.
Because I'm me.
An island of hope in a sea of sorrow.
A girl with the scars on her wrists and her heart on her sleeve.
A girl that isn't what you expect her to be, something extra-ordinary.
Something that shines.
That sparkles.
And glistens.
Something special.
But for now I will belong to the masses.
My hair--
My clothes--
My face--
My voice--
My dreams--
I am not a person but a doll that gets up every day to get knocked down to the ground.
Every name.
Every insult.
Every laugh.
Every cruel comment.
Will forever be marked on my heart.
In my mind, to e remembered forever.
Like pristine glass, your fingerprints are forever smeared on the broken and beaten shell, that I use as a body.
No one's guilt.
My own fault.
A game to be played.
A joke that I will forever be the punchline of.
Your choice to treat me like everyone else.
My pain I get to feel every morning I wake up.
And carry these sorrows around with me forever.
I am no one important.
Just everybody's pawn, in a vicious game.
Just everybody's casualty, in a war that I have been forever losing.
Just everybody's clown, to laugh and make fun.
Everybody's fool.
For I am not seen.
For I am not cared for.
For I am just pushed, pulled, hit, knocked down and teased.
I am no one.
Just a everybody's victim, at least that's what they chose me to be.
