Broken Lament: Swan Song 2
Who will cry when I am gone?
Will you sing for me, a sad song?
Will grief pull the strings of your heart?
On the day that I am to depart
Who will carry on my name?
Or will it be left lame?
Will there be a legacy for me?
Who will see the to need?
Who will be the ones to carry
My body to the pit to be buried?
Will they even bother?
Will it be son or father?
When you place me in the ground
I beg of you for just one sound
Now that my body’s spent
Will you give me a broken lament?
Will you sing for me, a sad song?
Will grief pull the strings of your heart?
On the day that I am to depart
Who will carry on my name?
Or will it be left lame?
Will there be a legacy for me?
Who will see the to need?
Who will be the ones to carry
My body to the pit to be buried?
Will they even bother?
Will it be son or father?
When you place me in the ground
I beg of you for just one sound
Now that my body’s spent
Will you give me a broken lament?
