Meeting Needs

Sometimes
you just need to laugh
and not touch down
but touch base,

know that
who you are
is all there is
and that the sunrise
is not greyed
by the hazelnut chatter
that happens to hazard
the whole world.

Sometimes
being and listening
and having nothing apart
and everything in common
is as easy as laughing
and letting it all slip away.

Sometimes
nothing else will do
and no amount
of coaxing or cocking
will make it go
or fix the seams
that burst
while life
takes us
to some far
and distant land.

Sometimes
there is no time left
and this is all there is
and then.
