Disclosure

Can we appear as we really are, and
be seen as the man that dwells in our
heart
Not the one who daily we display, seen
by outsiders on the translucent vail
of this face
The façade that we so readily and easily
put on when we don't want others to really
know what we think or how we feel; the show
I've done it, all of us have done it, put on,
"the front," so that someone cannot know, the
true us

Well, no longer, I want to become, unbridled,
unilateral, letting others know what truly, is
the matter
Being blunt, to the point, unreserved and dead-on
No more false-smiles, nodding head in consent,
when I really think that, their point is bull-shit

For to long, by us all, this has gone on, when it
really prevents progress
Wouldn't more be accomplished if we disagreed and
got shit off our chest
Feelings hurt and, "That offends me," are just a
way for others to manipulate things into being done
as they want and is an assumed sentiment that shouldn't
be given into anymore
Let's all grow the fuck up and be tough enough to
accept what others have to say, removing the censorship,
THAT'S IN THE WAY
