Promised Colour
When I was Young
it was said
Of longing and loneliness
You can oft hear salted sighs
regrets upon the mist
I vowed never to leave
the path of a storm...
Fireflies dance within Her eyes
As She took my hand, gently
swaying upon cooing breeze
I kissed Her, ever so gingerly
wile smiles wry to howl
We laced a swing
around the old willow tree
casting our shine
to reticent evening
keeping motion, lost in time
White lightning flashed.
Upon a thread of silk
lay the dyeing
anguish of the past
coloured as always promised
She looked to me eye to eye
seeing always,hearing thunder boom
it was said
Of longing and loneliness
You can oft hear salted sighs
regrets upon the mist
I vowed never to leave
the path of a storm...
Fireflies dance within Her eyes
As She took my hand, gently
swaying upon cooing breeze
I kissed Her, ever so gingerly
wile smiles wry to howl
We laced a swing
around the old willow tree
casting our shine
to reticent evening
keeping motion, lost in time
White lightning flashed.
Upon a thread of silk
lay the dyeing
anguish of the past
coloured as always promised
She looked to me eye to eye
seeing always,hearing thunder boom

I Thank You Dear Magdalena!!!
Indeed energy--I use to get yelled at when I was a tot because I would go off running into the storms to sit in them and run in them:)

Great imagery with a serenely woven story..captivating!
S.3 you should change the tense to "danced" to keep it aligned
good work, soul!

Thank You Dear Miki-Greatly appreciated!!!
when I wrote it, I had danced written because of alignment...but then it leans the meaning to "then"
or past tense. (I had a long ramble about off time music writing but I erased it LOl-sigh-chatty cathy_thank You Miki:)
