Existence

I do not exist
I am invisible
You think you see me
You think you know me
You want to get me
You like my poems
You like my metaphors
   but I am just a simile
I am like someone you want to know
   but I do not exist beyond your mind
I do not touch your heart
You cannot touch mine

I do not exist
yet I do
   behind the darkness
