Pain and Hope

It's hard to measure the light when comes the creeping blackness.

                         Ooze in the light,

Is it the night or the day,

Can we measure the joy or just the fading away.

Trust in the one who screams in your face and hope for tomorrow today.

I don't scream on the outside, it's on the inside,

                     My insides must be ripped,

It is from all the screaming and crying my heart does,

It is from the world that never relieves,

Just the sparks of hope to make the bleeding blackness burn and the hurting real.

The hope that is never as you make,

Like the gun in your mouth that calls you a cunt,

                  Just the malformed, grown, runt,

Now bow down to life to peace the day just a moment of need before the hunt.

                        Why did you make me,

                        I'm better off dead,

Least in the nothingness you find no horror,

Why does life want to break me,

Hope for tomorrow today, before the long stretching on and days of only pain and hope.
