~Poetry in my Words~

The words taste good on my lips
as I think about them sparks ignite
in my wondering brain
do they give you such pleasurable
feelings as well,do the words make
you think, make you want to
learn more, express more

At my fingertips I hold softly my
pen, ready to make my writing
into a beautiful thing, with swift
movements I scribe a few
letters, then lift my head to gaze
out the window

Some words put gently together
to make sense, but half my page
is naked, blank, lonely,
waiting to have it's fair share
of ink dabbled on it

The need to put words together
to make someone feel what I
feel is strong, words to soak into
the very core of their poetic
passion, to make them want to
splash all over a sheet
of paper with their own powerful
words

Poetry should be a lot of things,
one should feel it, believe it,
it should feed ones thoughts
and be a recipe of flavors,
adding love, anger, bitterness,
sadness, lust, warmth, sex,
anything we wish

Ink leaks from my head into
my flowing wrist giving the
crisp white sheet what it
wants, it eats up my
letters and still stays smooth

I rest again, in deep thought
for my next line, the world
seems to be silent, on pause
waiting for my hand to
pull the ink trigger
and then there it is, a blast of
words and noise begins
again

Turning my simple words into
poems, hoping someone
somewhere will enjoy
them, hate them,
read them,
maybe these words will
tap on their poetic door
and be a start of something
new
