HARRY HOOCH

Battered derby along the rain swept
Cobblestones of Delancey Alley
Harry Hooch on a wanderlust crept
Drunk and lost through Rose River Valley

Barely slurring out stories lighting
Angels red in some brimstone ramble
Splitting time between malt and fighting
Cheating fate in a beggar’s gamble

Chorus
Harry Hooch got his wallet taken
Harry Hooch got his manhood shaken
Harry Hooch died tonight forsaken

Trouble tracking old Harry’s parole
Pipeline leading from Lucifer’s flame
Through the city where broken hearts troll
Nightly looking for easier game

Bourbon breath took to sweet talk slinging
Vandalizing a virgin’s virtue
Lonesome days led to neck bone wringing
Maiden fury needs something to chew

Repeat Chorus
